Pupils leading the way
Criw Cymraeg is made up of pupils from each class in Years 3 to 6. Their role is to encourage the use of Welsh across the school by both pupils and staff, helping to create a strong Welsh ethos.
The group meets weekly at lunchtime with Mrs Windsor during Clwb Cymraeg and works closely with the Criw Cymraeg from Cwmfelinfach Primary School to share ideas and good practice. Members enjoy playing Welsh games and regularly support younger pupils by teaching them games in Welsh on the playground.
Criw Cymraeg plays an active role in promoting Welsh events across the school, including Shwmae Day and Dydd Miwsig Cymru, and is responsible for updating the Brawddeg yr Wythnos.
